The Area 51 conspiracy theory tells us that the United States government hides evidence of extraterrestrial life at this top-secret military base located in the Nevada desert.  For many years, several people have said that Area 51 keeps parts of spaceships there, like the one that  crashed in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947. It is said that the bodies of the aliens were taken to the base for being analysis by the scientists. Other theories about Area 51 is that they hosts experiments with alien technology, reverse engineering of spaceships, and even that they have direct contact with beings from other planets. Although the US government officially confirm the existence of Area 51 in 2013, clarifying that it is a site for the development and testing of experimental spaceships, this explanation has not dispelled suspicions, on the contrary, the extreme secrecy surrounding the site, the constant surveillance, and access restrictions have further fueled conspiracy theories.  For...

The conspiracy theory that the world ended in 2012 arises mainly from the interpretation of the Mayan calendar, which concluded an important cycle on December 21, 2012. Many people thought this meant an apocalyptic prophecy. One of the reasons that people use to claim that the world ended in 2012 and right now o ur consciousness is trapped in a kind of loop  or that we maybe changed reality to a kind of parallel universe or simulation, is the famous "Mandela Effect," which could be considered a glitch or error that shows that something changed in our timeline due to collective memories. An example of the Mandela Effect is remembering the KitKat logo with a non-existent script or remembering that the Monopoly character wears a monocle. But as always nothing is confirmed so the theory that the world ended in 2012 may or may not be true.

One of the most popular theories outside the scientific community is the one that talks about the construction of the Egyptian pyramids.  The "Paul is Dead" conspiracy theory holds that Paul McCartney died in a car crash in 1966 and, to prevent the band from collapsing, he was secretly replaced by a look-alike named William Campbell. Since 1969 until now, rumours circulated that The Beatles had left hidden messages confirming Paul's death: on "Strawberry Fields Forever" John Lennon was said to have murmured “I buried Paul” (although he actually said “cranberry sauce”), playing "Revolution 9" from "The White Album" backwards would play “Turn me on, dead man”, and on the cover of "Abbey Road" the four were depicted as a funeral procession, with Paul barefoot and holding a cigar in his right hand despite being left-handed, symbolising his role as “dead”.  One of the most fascinating and ancient conspiracy theories is the one that tell us that the earth is hollow. According to this belief, the planet is not a solid mass as science claims, instead it has lots of empty spaces within, and even advanced civilizations living there.  The modern idea of a hollow Earth dates back to the 17th century, when British astronomer Edmund Halley proposed that the Earth might be composed of a series of concentric layers, with an interior atmosphere and possibly life there.
